As we leave the road there is an "apple tree" with the usual Jamaican flamboyance, purple flowers that make a purple carpet on the steps as their petals fall.

The colours are now decided- they really do blend in with the surrounding trees.
The kitchen has a fantastic view and a wallpaper to dream of. It can be moved inside in the case of storms- so far not a frequent occurence. The path up to the cabin- it is as steep as it looks or more so.

A sample of our first garden products, cucumber and tomato. This is not the standard Jamaican cucumber shape but they are plentifull and tasty!!
We are spending Easter in Kingston with Ben's cousin Erica, a lovely lady with heaps of hospitality and energy. She is finding plenty for us to see and do including a 06.00 Easter dance perfomance by the National DanceTheater Company.

Last day in Kingston- a trip to the Blue mountain area- the Cinchona
botanical gardens with excellent guides, Robert and Donna from Sunventure travel. It rained a bit but was well worth the 2 hour walk each way through coffee farms and breathtaking scenery.
